We’re a small team of travel enthusiasts who believe exceptional stays should be enjoyed, shared, and remembered - not kept behind an unnecessarily high price tag.
That’s why we go ourselves. We check into the hotels, swim in the pools, look for unique dining experiences, walk the surrounding streets and trails, and take the photographs you see here - paying as much attention to the feeling a place gives you as to what it looks like in a photograph. We experience each place as a traveller would, paying attention to the details and to the wisdom that comes with them: the view from the terrace, the quiet luxury of a thermal bath, the conversations with locals you could not have had anywhere else, the simple pleasure of having nowhere else to be - and above all the feeling of being treated as though you are genuinely welcome.

Where We’d Stay

Most of them are hotels. The rest are holiday rentals: apartments and suites with a kitchen and a front door of your own, in places where that simply turned out to be the nicer way to stay. Each one is a pick we would happily hand to a friend.

These are real public rates we have watched ourselves, week after week - not estimates, not sponsored placements, and never a favour to a hotel. Nobody can buy a place on this list or a kinder description on it.
