How we are paid

Where a booking platform runs an affiliate programme, our link to it carries a tracking code, and if you book we receive a small share of what the hotel pays that platform. Links that go straight to a hotel's own booking engine usually earn us nothing at all — we put them first anyway, because they are normally the cheapest way to book.

Why it matters to us

That commission is, in the main, what pays for this. The rooms, the trains, the flights, the months of rate-tracking that sit behind every page — we book all of it ourselves and pay for it ourselves. A share of what you book through our links is what brings some of that back, and it is the only thing that does.

No hotel sponsors us. Not one. Nobody on this list pays us a retainer, buys a placement, funds a stay, or has any say in a word we write about them. There is no arrangement here to disclose, because there is none — and that is deliberate. The moment a hotel is paying for its coverage, the price you are being shown has stopped being the honest one, and an honest price is the only thing this site is for.

What it does not affect

The ranking on this site is generated from recorded prices, cheapest first. No hotel can pay to appear, to move up, or to be described more kindly. We have no commercial relationship with any hotel on the list.

Our numbers are the public price

We record ordinary, publicly bookable rates. We exclude members-only prices, so where a hotel runs a loyalty scheme the figure we show may be higher than a member would pay.

Who receives the commission

Any commission earned through links on this site is received by CAYTECH LTD, the company that operates instyletravel.club.
